@ Zeester & Peter-Blake,

Do you put an "acht-knoop" (eight-knot) in your gennakersheet endings ???

Yes I do. In all lines that are at risk of being pulled thtuogh the blocks unintentionally I use an eight-knot.

It is not common (done) to have an knot at in genacker or spinacker sheets. Safety rule.

Gregor,

How do you prevent the lazy sheet to slip out the block?

@Ron: make sure they are long enough. Sorry, in Dutch.

Groet, Gregor

In addition to the discussion of NOT putting any knot in a genaker sheet: do not put a knot in your
genaker halyard either!!!!!It can cost you a mast if your halyard cannot slip out in a heavy gust.

Why do you need a pair of footrailcllips for genneker sheet block ?  There's a stainless steel ring made for this weld on pullpit leg on both sides.

I always put an eight knot on my sheets. The spinnaker sheet are twice the length of the yacht. So if I need to release the sheet I have far enough length to 'deflate' the sail and pull the sheet back when situation is in control.
